San Francisco — The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which oversees all transportation in the city, including the Municipal Railway (Muni), is asking the public to help identify key areas for improvement by taking its online customer satisfaction survey.

“Whether you live, work or spend time in San Francisco, your opinion matters,” said Edward D. Reiskin, SFMTA Director of Transportation. “We want to hear from you to realize the city’s Transit First policy and create a more reliable transit system, better bicycle and walking conditions, easier access to taxis, and more convenient and sustainable transportation options.”

Muni customers, pedestrians, bicyclists, taxi customers and others can access the online survey via the SFMTA website at www.sfmta.com/survey and can also sign up to become more involved in helping improve the city’s transportation system.

On Jan. 3, 2012, the SFMTA Board approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 - FY 2018 SFMTA Strategic Plan that represents the vision, mission, goals and objectives for the Agency. The Strategic Plan makes the commitment to work with and listen to transportation users to set the wheels in motion for a more connected, sustainable and vibrant San Francisco.

In an effort to become more responsive to customer needs, the SFMTA will poll users of the city's transportation system on an ongoing basis. Results from the first customer satisfaction survey, along with other key performance metrics, will be published on the SFMTA website later this year.
