Regular Meeting Minutes

1. Call to Order / Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 3:40 p.m. by Chairman Wieser.

PMC Members present at Roll Call: Emily Drennen, Norman Rolfe and Jamison Wieser.

PMC Members absent: None.

SFMTA CAC Members, not on this committee, but also present: Ruth Wheeler and Steve Ferrario.

2. Adopt minutes of February 21 and March 20, 2008:

On motion to adopt minutes: Approved: Ayes - Wieser, Drennen and Rolfe.

3. Public Comment concerning any issue within the jurisdiction of the Council and not noted on the agenda: None

4. Report of the Chairman: Jamison Wieser

Chairman Wieser stated that the SFMTA subways have new easy-to-read system maps.

5. Transit Effectiveness Project (Discussion/Action) Julie Kirschbaum

Julie Kirschbaum, TEP – Program Manager, stated that there has been extensive outreach to the public as well as to employees. A special blog featuring transit routes was created for comments from transit operators. The public could submit comments through 311 Services, TEP comment forms, the SFTEP.com website, community workshops and individual meetings.

Ms. Kirschbaum presented various transit route developments, including the 9-San Bruno, the 9X, the 9AX, the 9BX, the 14-Mission, the 14-Limited, the 18-46th Avenue combined with the 23-Monerey, the 28-19th Avenue, the 29-Sunset, the 47-Van Ness and the elimination of 56-Rutland.

Ms. Drennen stated that there used to be rail service along Geneva Avenue. The PMC will be discussing connecting the T-Third and the K-Ingleside lines as a loop along Geneva Avenue.

Ms. Kirschbaum stated that the TEP recommended route changes will be implemented in July 2009.
