Pursuant to DPT Order No. 3314 adopted February 6, 2007 the Department of Parking and Traffic will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on the following proposed changes. The hearing will be held as follows:

Date/Time: Friday, February 23, 2007, at 10:00 am

Location: Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, San Francisco

(located on Van Ness Avenue between McAllister and Grove Streets)

SPEED HUMPS – ESTABLISH

6th Avenue, between Judah and Irving Streets;

6th Avenue, between Judah and Kirkham Streets;

17th Avenue, between Irving and Judah Streets; and,

18th Avenue, between Irving and Judah Streets.

 

SPEED CUSHIONS – ESTABLISH

Teresita Boulevard, between Reposa and Isola Ways; and,

Teresita Boulevard, between Sequoia and Gaviota Ways.

TOW-AWAY, NO STOPPING ANYTIME - ESTABLISH

Market Street, north side, from 45 feet to 132 feet west of Castro Street (an 87 foot zone); and,

|Mason Street, west side, from Jefferson Street to 40 feet southerly (removes two parking meter spaces to accommodate buses turning left onto Mason Street).

MUNI BUS ZONE - RESCIND

Geary Boulevard, north side, from 39th Avenue to 80 feet westerly

MUNI BUS ZONE - ESTABLISH

Geary Boulevard, north side, from 40th Avenue to 120 feet easterly (in conjunction
with new STOP signs at 40th Avenue).

RIGHT TURN ONLY ONTO CARTER STREET - ESTABLISH

Walbridge Street, eastbound onto Carter Street

NO TURN ON RED – RESCIND

Geneva Avenue, eastbound, at Carter Avenue and Walbridge Street.

TOW-AWAY, NO STOPPING ANYTIME – ESTABLISH

Geneva Avenue, south side, from Carter Street to 100 feet westerly.

Opinions on these proposed changes may be filed in writing prior to the hearing with the City Traffic Engineer at the Traffic Engineering Division, 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 7th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103-5417. Written opinions may also be transmitted to the Traffic Engineering Division via fax at 701-4737. Submitted opinions will become part of the official public record and will be brought to the attention of the person(s) conducting the hearing.
