FOR PUBLIC HEARING

The Sustainable Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a public hearing on Friday, October 19, 2012, at 10:00 AM, in Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102, to consider the following proposals:

1(a).    REVOKE – BUS ZONE

            25th Street, north side, from Hampshire Street to Potrero Avenue

1(b).    ESTABLISH – BUS ZONE

            Hampshire Street, east side, from 26th Street to 160 feet southerly

2.    ESTABLISH – RED ZONE

        Taraval Street, north side, from 5 feet to 25 feet east of 27th Avenue (removes general meter #1626 establishing a 25-foot red zone)

        Taraval Street, south side, from 5 feet to 27 feet west of 27th Avenue (removes and relocates yellow meter #1701 – moves existing metered yellow one stall west to #1703G; moves existing green meters #1703G and #1705G each one stall west to #1705G and #1709 respectively – removes meter # 1709 establishing a 27-foot red zone)

        Taraval Street, north side, from 5 feet to 23 feet east of 25th Avenue (removes general meter #1426 establishing a 23-foot red zone)

3.    ESTABLISH – 12-HOUR PARKING TIME LIMIT, EVERYDAY

        York Street, east side, from Mariposa Street to 18th Street

4.    REVOKE – SCHOOL BUS LOADING ZONE, FROM 7:30 AM TO 3:30 PM SCHOOL DAYS

        ESTABLISH – SCHOOL BUS LOADING ZONE, FROM 7:30 AM TO 4 PM SCHOOL DAYS

        451 Otsego Avenue, east side, from 204 feet to 294 feet south of Onondaga Avenue*

5.    ESTABLISH – RIGHT LANE MUST TURN RIGHT EXCEPT BUSES AND BICYCLES

        Northbound Bayshore Boulevard, from Helena Street to Marengo Street.

6.    ESTABLISH – RED ZONE

        Silver Avenue, north side, from 651 Silver Avenue driveway to 10 feet westerly (outside 657 Avenue, at Gambier Street)*

7.    ESTABLISH – RED ZONE

        Ashbury Terrace, west side, from Piedmont Street to 18 feet southerly*

        Delmar Street, east side, from Piedmont Street to 16 feet northerly*

        Delmar Street, west side, from Piedmont Street to 18 feet northerly*


8.    ESTABLISH – NO PARKING ANYTIME

        Gough Street, west side, at Clay Street, between the northern and southern crosswalks

        Gough Street, west side, from Clay Street to 20 feet northerly (extends existing zone by additional 10 feet)*

        Clay Street, north side, from Gough Street to 10 feet easterly*

9(a).    ESTABLISH – PARKING METER AREA 3

            22nd Street, south side, between San Jose Avenue and Valencia Street

9(b).    ESTABLISH – 30-MINUTE GREEN METERS, 9 AM TO 6 PM, MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

            22nd Street, south side, between San Jose Avenue and Valencia Street

            (Replaces existing 58-foot green zone with 3 new green meters)*

10.    ESTABLISH – STOP SIGN

         Stopping Walter U. Lum Place, southbound, at Clay Street – The stem of this T-intersection

11.    ESTABLISH – PERPENDICULAR PARKING

         Greenwich Street, both sides, from 170 feet to 250 feet east of Hyde Street

12(a).   ESTABLISH – NO PARKING ANYTIME

              Harold Avenue, east side, from 281 feet to 305 feet south of Grafton Avenue (24-foot zone across from 25 and 29 Harold Avenue)

12(b).   ESTABLISH – PARK AT 90 DEGREES

              Harold Avenue, east side, from 305 feet to 358 feet south of Grafton Avenue (53-foot zone across from 19 and 21 Harold Avenue)

13.    ESTABLISH – NO PARKING VEHICLES OVER 6 FEET TALL

         Keith Street, both sides, between Wallace Avenue and Yosemite Avenue

14.    ESTABLISH – TOW-AWAY NO STOPPING 10 PM TO 6 AM EVERYDAY

         Florida Street, both sides, from 16th Street to Treat Street

         Florida Street, east side, from 16th Street to 17th Street

15.    ESTABLISH – STOP SIGNS

         Stopping eastbound and westbound Rivera Street at 40th Avenue, making this intersection an All-Way STOP

16.    ESTABLISH – RIGHT TURN ONLY

         9th Avenue, northbound and southbound, at California Street

Items denoted with an asterisk (*) can be given final approval at the public hearing.  Otherwise, the SFMTA Board will make the final approval at a later date based on the outcome at the public hearing.

                                                                                           

The purpose of traffic engineering hearings for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Sustainable Streets Division is for residents to express their concerns regarding the posted parking and traffic changes affecting their streets.At the hearing, the public hearing officer, after reviewing the items and listening to residents, will make a decision as to whether the items are approved or not.Any interested parties are encouraged to attend.
