MINUTES OF THE March 8, 2007 MEETING (ACTION ITEM)

The Committee to adopt the Minutes.

Members of the public may address ISCOTT members on matters that are within ISCOTT’s purview and are not on today’s agenda.

ITEM ON HOLD

1. Van Ness Avenue, between Fell and Market Streets – Median
DPT presents DPW proposal to landscape and widen center median island on Van Ness Avenue between Fell and Market Streets.

CONSENT CALENDAR (ACTION ITEM)

All matters hereunder constitute a consent calendar are considered to be routine by ISCOTT and will be acted upon by a single vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a member of the Committee or if the public so requests, in which event the matter shall be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered as a separate item.

1. Piedmont Street at Masonic Avenue - STOP Signs
DPT recommends stopping Piedmont Street at Masonic Avenue making this T‑intersection an All-Way STOP.

2. 18th Street at Illinois Street - STOP Signs
DPT recommends installing a stop sign on 18th Street at Illinois Street stopping the stem to this currently uncontrolled T-intersection.

3. Hampshire Street - Residential Permit Parking Extension Area “W”
DPT recommends a public hearing to consider extending Area "W" to include Hampshrie Street, both sides, between 26th and Cesar Chavez Streets (1400block) with a 2-hour time limit, 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

4. Anza Street - Residential Permit Parking Extension – Area “L”
DPT recommends a public hearing to consider extending Area "L" to include Anza Street, both sides, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues (1100 block) with a 2‑hour time limit, 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.

5. Raccoon Drive - No Parking Anytime
DPT recommends establishing "Tow-Away, No Parking Anytime" on both sides of Raccoon Drive between Twin Peaks Boulevard and Crown Court.

6. Taylor Street at Ellis Street - Red Zone
DPT recommends establishing a red zone on the west side of Taylor Street from Ellis Street to 23 feet southerly (eliminates meter 681-02310 to improve sight distances).

7. 10th Avenue and Pacheco Street – Red Zone
DPT recommends establishing a red zone on 10th Avenue, west side, from Pacheco Street to 20 feet northerly.

8. Post and Sutter Streets - Parking Meters
DPT recommends a public hearing to establish Area 3 Parking Meters (2 Hours, 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Saturday) on:

A. Sutter Street, south side, between Divisadero and Scott Streets; and
B. Post Street, north side, between Divisadero and Scott Streets.

DPT also recommends a public hearing to consider changing the 1-hour time limit of existing parking meters to 2 hours on:
C. Sutter Street, north side, between Divisadero and Scott Streets; and
D. Post Street, south side, between Divisadero and Scott Streets.

9. 2037-2041 Hyde Street - Unmetered Motorcycle Parking
DPT recommends holding a public hearing to consider the establishment of two unmetered motorcycle spaces between the driveways for 2037 and 2041 Hyde Street.

2. Residential Permit Parking Extension - Area “Y” and Rescind Parking Meters

DPT recommends a public hearing to consider:
A. Extend RPP Area "Y" to include Clementina Street, both sides, between 1stand 2nd Streets (unit block, includes addresses on both sides for permits, but signs with a “2-hour time limit, 9 AM to 6 PM, Everyday” will only be installed on the south side;

B. Rescind parking meters on Clementina Street, south side, between 1st and 2nd Streets (meters have been legislated, but have not been installed); and

C. Include the address of 246 Second Street (94 units) into Area “Y” (no signs will be installed on this street but residents will be eligible for permits).

3. 900 block of Mission Street, west of 5th Street - Bus Zones
MUNI requests the installation of a bus terminal for the #26 line via 33.1 of the Traffic Code on the south side of Mission Street, from 15 feet to 55 feet east of Mary Street (40-foot zone).

4. Beacon Street, between Diamond and Miguel Streets Speed Humps - Establish
MTA recommends a public hearing to install a speed hump on Beacon Street approximately 50 feet south of 383 Beacon Street, within the existing traffic chicane.

5. New Montgomery Street at Mission Street - Parking and Lane Assignment
DPT recommends a public hearing to consider:
A. Establishing "Tow-Away No Stopping Anytime" on New Montgomery Street, east side, from Mission Street to 80 feet northerly; and
B. Rescind Multiple Right Turn Lane on southbound New Montgomery Street.
