Release date: 8/6/10 *** Press Release ***The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), which operates the Municipal Railway (Muni), advises San Francisco residents and visitors of the Muni stop relocations due to the opening of the Temporary Transbay Terminal, beginning the morning of Saturday, August 7. Additional details on Muni service at the Temporary Transbay Terminal can be found here. On Saturday, current transit services using the Transbay Terminal will be relocated to the Temporary Transbay Terminal at Howard and Main streets. Phase I of the temporary terminal will be in effect until the implementation of Phase II in November. The SFMTA has deployed customer service ambassadors to the Transbay Terminal throughout this week to alert customers and answer questions. SFMTA personnel will be positioned at the existing terminal at First and Mission streets until approximately 2 a.m., Saturday to assist Muni customers.
