 MINUTES 1. Call to Order Chairman Weaver called the meeting to order at 4:18 p.m.
 2. Roll Call  EMSC Members  present at Roll Call:  Steve Ferrario and Daniel Weaver EMSC Members  absent: None CAC members not on  this committee, but also present: Dorris Vincent 3. Announcement of  prohibition of sound producing devices during the meeting. The CAC Secretary made the announcement. 4. Approval of Minutes:    Public  Comment:  Edward Mason suggested that the  minutes be revised with respect to item #6.  He moved that his comment be updated to read,  “Mr. Mason inquired if the SFMTA can put information about which streets are  not recommended for large vehicles.” On  motion to approve the minutes of June 27, 2012: Approved as amended Ayes – Ferrario and Weaver Nayes – None Absent – None 5. Report of the Chairman (For discussion only):   None 6. Public Comment:    None 7. Presentation,  discussion and possible action regarding major capital project coordination and  delivery between Capital Programs & Construction and Transit Services. (Vince Harris,  Director, Capital Programs & Construction and John Haley, Director, Transit  Services) Vince Harris discussed his work history with  the SFMTA.  Mr. Harris left the SFMTA  five years ago and returned as the Director of Capital Programs and  Construction over two months ago.  Mr.  Harris discussed the Agency’s 20-year capital program.  Public  Comment: Edward Mason commented on the 19th  Avenue project and Better Market Streets. 8. Presentation,  discussion and possible action regarding the San Francisco Pedestrian Strategy.  (Frank Markowitz, Senior Transportation  Planner, Sustainable Streets – Transportation Planning) Frank Markowitz discussed the plan and  proposed actions for great walking streets in San Francisco.  Mr. Markowitz stated that this plan was  developed when Mayor Newsom was leaving and he signed an executive directive  that called on City agencies to work together to reduce serious and fatal  injuries to pedestrians.  Mr. Markowitz  also discussed funding and outreach of the plan. Public  Comment: Edward Mason commented  on tree maintenance in the City. 9. Committee Members’ request for information   None 10.
