Pursuant to DPT Order No. 3488 adopted April 16, 2008, the Department of Parking and Traffic will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on the following proposed changes. The hearing will be held as follows:

Date/Time: Friday, May 2, 2008, at 10:00 am
Location: Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, San Francisco
(located on Van Ness Avenue between McAllister and Grove Streets)

STOP SIGNS - ESTABLISH
York Street at Mariposa Street, stopping the stem of this currently uncontrolled T-intersection; and,
Santiago Street at 29th Avenue, making this intersection an All-Way STOP

RED (NO PARKING ANYTIME) ZONES - RESCIND
Santiago Street, south side of from 29th Avenue to 20-feet westerly

RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREA "L" (2-HOUR TIME LIMIT, 8 AM - 6 PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY) - ESTABLISH
3rd Avenue, both sides, between Anza and Balboa Streets (500 block).

MUNI FLAG STOP - RESCIND
Polk Street, west side, south of Grove Street

MUNI BUS ZONES - RESCIND
Harrison Street, north side, from 7th Street to 100 feet easterly

MUNI BUS ZONES - ESTABLISH
Harrison Street, north side, from 7th Street to 80 feet westerly.

MUNI BUS ZONES - RESCIND
Clement Street, south side, from 14th Avenue to 100 feet westerly.

MUNI BUS ZONES - ESTABLISH
Clement Street, south side, from 14th Avenue to 73 feet easterly; and,
Grove Street, south side, from Polk Street to 100 feet westerly.

RED ZONE – RESCIND
17th Street, south side, from 30 feet to 20 feet west of Arkansas Street (reduces the existing 30-foot red zone to 20 feet).

RED ZONE – ESTABLISH
17th Street, south side, from Arkansas Street to 20 feet easterly (20-foot zone).

RED ZONE – EXTENSION
17th Street, north side, from 8 feet to 20 feet west of Arkansas Street (extends the existing 8-foot red zone an additional 12 feet, resulting in a 20-foot red zone); and,

17th Street, north side, from 10 to 20 feet east of Arkansas Street (extends the existing 10-foot red zone an additional 10 feet, resulting in a 20-foot red zone).

Opinions on these proposed changes may be filed in writing prior to the hearing with the City Traffic Engineer at the Traffic Engineering Division, 1 South Van Ness Avenue, 7th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103-5417. Written opinions may also be transmitted to the Traffic Engineering Division via fax at 701-4737. Submitted opinions will become part of the official public record and will be brought to the attention of the person(s) conducting the hearing.
