FOR PUBLIC HEARING

The Sustainable Streets Division of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency will hold a public hearing on Friday, July 20, 2012, at 10:00 AM, in Room 416 (Hearing Room 4), City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102, to consider the following proposals:

ESTABLISH – TOW-AWAY NO STOPPING, 10 PM TO 6 AM, EVERYDAY

Iowa Street, both sides, between 23rd Street and 25th Street

ESTABLISH – RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREA A, 1-HOUR PARKING, 8 AM TO 9 PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Sansome Street, 1300 block, between Greenwich and Filbert Streets, west side Greenwich Street, 200 block, between Sansome Street and Greenwich Steps, both sides

Filbert Street, 200 block, between Sansome Street and Filbert Steps, both sides

RESCIND – RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREA A, 2-HOUR PARKING, 8 AM TO 9 PM, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Sansome Street, 1300 block, between Greenwich and Filbert Streets, west side Greenwich Street, 200 block, between Sansome Street and Greenwich Steps, both sides

Filbert Street, 200 block, between Sansome Street and Filbert Steps, both sides

ESTABLISH – UNMETERED MOTORCYCLE PARKING

630 Leavenworth Street, east side, from 118 feet to 140 feet north of Geary Street (22-foot zone for 5 spaces.  Residential Parking Permit restrictions to remain)

ESTABLISH – BUS STOP

Crescent Avenue, north side, west of Ellsworth Street

(This action relocates the existing outbound bus flag stop from the near side of the intersection to the far side on Crescent Avenue)

ESTABLISH – 53-FOOT OVERWIDE DRIVEWAY

REMOVE – GENERAL METER PARKING, 9 AM TO 6 PM, MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

Remove 3 general meter spaces (#s 933, 935, 937) on Folsom Street, east side, north of Falmouth Street

ESTABLISH – RED ZONE

Turk Street, north side, from North Willard Street to ten feet easterly

Mission Street, east side, from Florentine Avenue to ten feet southerly

Taraval Street, north side, from 34th Avenue to ten feet easterly

Taraval Street, north side, from 44th Avenue to ten feet easterly

Taraval Street, south side, from 44th Avenue to ten feet westerly

ESTABLISH – MEDIAN ISLANDS

Bryant Street at 26th Street, south side (110-foot island)

Bryant Street at Cesar Chavez Street, north side (110-foot island)

ESTABLISH – PERPENDICULAR PARKING

Bryant Street, east side, from 95 feet to 165 feet north of 25th Street

Bryant Street, west side, from 125 feet to 275 feet south of 24th Street

RESCIND – LEFT LANE MUST TURN LEFT

Bryant Street at Cesar Chavez Street, southbound approach (part of a road diet on Bryant Street from 23rd Street to Cesar Chavez Street)

The following items were determined to be categorically exempt from CEQA by the Planning Department.  The categorical exemption was issued through Case number 2011.0959E.

The purpose of traffic engineering hearings for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) Sustainable Streets Division is for residents to express their concerns regarding the posted parking and traffic changes affecting their streets.At the hearing, the public hearing officer, after reviewing the items and listening to residents, will make a decision as to whether the items are approved or not.Any interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Opinions on these proposed changes may be filed in writing prior to the hearing by email (link to sustainable.streets@sfmta.com) with the subject line “Public Hearing.” Written opinions may also be transmitted to the Sustainable Streets Division via fax at 415.701.4737 or by mail: Engineering Public Hearing, Sustainable Streets Division, One South Van Ness Avenue, 7th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103-5417.
