Debra Johnson, Director, Administration, Taxis and Accessible Services provided an update on the implementation of the December 5 service changes. Director Black arrived. Chairman Beach requested that staff report on the status of the Dec. 5 service changes including accessibility issues at the January 5, 2010 Board meeting. 5. Public Comment None. 6. Discussion of upcoming SFMTA Board/Parking Authority Commission items. (No explanatory documents.) David Hill, director, Transit Operations reported on the status of the slow speed order in the Twin Peaks Tunnel. Director Beach requested that staff present a comprehensive report and schedule to finish the task. Exec. Director Ford stated that staff would present it to PAG at their January 12 meeting and would then present it to the full Board. No public comment. 7. Discussion regarding the operation of the SFMTA Board of Directors/Parking Authority Commission.
Carter Rohan, senior director, Capital Programs and Construction, reviewed the draft resolution regarding the delegation of authority to award and modify contracts. Director Beach requested language be added to clarify that collective bargaining agreements were not being delegated and would still require the approval of the Board. No public comment. 8. Discussion and vote pursuant to Administrative Code Section 67.10(d) as to whether to conduct a closed session and invoke the attorney‑client privilege. On motion to invoke the attorney-client privilege: unanimously approved.
